Hi everyone, my daughter has changed her University from Lancaster to Leeds. I have just checked the amended student finance application on line, and see that they have changed the university, but that her maintenance loan is now £500 less.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Has anything in your finances changed? Has the amount of her grant changed?0
-
is the number of weeks in the year different?
Is she still living away from home?0 -
There is no change in the lenghth of the course,no change in our financial situation. It is also her first year at uni, I will be calling them yet again tomorrow. She is still staying away from home.0

It's your daughter who needs to be calling them. She'll need to organise herself at university and she should start with her finance as at least she has you around for support whilst she's doing it.0 -
How much is her loan?0
-
The loan for Leeds is £34970
-
And did she provide your income details or did she do it non income assessed?0
-
We provided income details and nothing has changed since we applied.0

I have just spoken to student finance and they said the course hours must be less than Lancaster therefore we have had the money deducted. We were not aware of this, we thought that as it was the same length (3 years) it would be the same. I dont know how you are supposed to know this without seeing a timetable or being informed by the Uni. :mad:0
