Just researching for my friend who wants to get online. The only thing she needs it for is the internet and maybe storing a small amount of music.
Any ideas? I have looked at places like comet etc... but not sure these are the best deals really.
Please feel free to direct me to another thread (I don't often come onto this thread I am normally over on OS)
Many thanks

Are you asking for advice on which computer to buy, or how to connect to the internet? Two separate things. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

A netbook has a tiny screen typically a maximum of 12'', small keys and no DVD drive but it is very portable.
A notebook, which most people call a laptop has a screen size between 14'' and 18'' but typically 15'' with a DVD drive and a reasonably sized keyboard.
If you don't mind the thought of refurbished this one from Argos Ebay Clearance shop costs £294 including delivery.

It's probably best to avoid Comet as they tend to have poor customer service if anything goes wrong. Check out the thread on the link I've posted for expert advice.0
