I am one of many thousands customers that is disgusted with Maplins return and refund policy.I simply do not know why Trading Standards Authority still let this company to operate in UK with such poor customer care.
I bought an A/V sender, brought it home, opened it and closed it as I realised that it was not the right one.
Every normal store would return your product if it as new and in original packaging and not used.
Well that is not the case with this company.YOU CAN DEFINATELLY KISS YOUR MONEY GOODBYE!
Luckily I lost only £25.This was goo lesson to me as I was to purchase a satellite system from the same store. They will never see me again there in my life.

your post says nothing
how have you 'lost' £25?
do you not have the item?0 -
You do realise that you're not entitled to a refund simply for changing your mind don't you?0
-
Well product is of no any use for me,I sent it back to their head office just to prove the point that not everything is in money but in good cutomer care.0

You are not entitled to a refund,I expect they have signs to this effect.
If it had been me,I would have asked for a credit note. It's never failed yet.0 -
Why would trading standards care?I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0

Maplins are not the best by any means.
I wanted to buy my daughter some headphones and popped into Maplins.
I asked the sales assistant if the headphones were the wrong ones could I change them and she said No because it wasn't a sealed packet. If I bought them , then I could only change them if they were faulty!
I shopped elsewhere.
Maybe the letter of the law but not good customer service. The best portion of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you.0 -

Take it back immediately, it is obviously not the correct one and you are therefore entitled to a full refund. In fact you better claim compensation for the distress Comet have caused.
While you are at it write to your MP, Trading Standards and the European Court of Human Rights.0
