:rotfl:sorry but I'm the same! Would love some knee highs but most of them I can't even get round my ankles, I was going to try Evans actually but after your comment......maybe not!
I think the leggings I've seen that are masquerading as tights are 150D but I can't remember where I saw that sorry!

For boots with wide calf fittings, try Duo boots. They're not cheap, but there are some lovely designs.
I too find it hard to get boots that will fit around my calves, as I used to cycle a lot!0 -

Hi! No I am not offended in the slightest
. I've had it since I was 7 and have pretty much exhausted conventional medical avenues with light therapy/creams etc and the only thing that has ever really worked for me is a drug called Methotrexate. Unfortunately the Metho can cause liver damage so I am only allowed to use it for short periods of time
. The last time I saw a skin specialist I was told that unless I was willing to go to London for trials then there wasn't really much else they can do for me.
I try to be realistic in that I am not physically disabled and apart from causing some shyness and frustration, it does not stop me from doing the things I want to. I also have a very understanding OH but I do struggle in the summer as I wont wear shorts/short sleeves so I can end up very hot and moody. I couldn't read the article in the link as it asked me to log in but I did a search on the disease and psoriasis and it does seem a very feasible link between the two. I am not aware that I have ever been tested for gluten intolerance but it certainly might be worth a try!
I hope your sister can get some treatment and it clears up for her soon, whilst not actually debilitating I know first hand the trauma and stress psoriasis can bring
Hey OP
I really wouldnt waste your time by telling you this unless it was worth it and i knew firsthand that it worked.
My mum worked for vso in ethiopia a few years ago and came back with the following which was used for severe skin complaints and now i pass it on to everyone because even if it doesnt work for you, whats the harm in trying.
Liquid parafin (you can get it from most chemists but may have to ask)mixed with nivea moisturiser(that was the original creme used so i stick with it)mix half and half and give it a good shake.apply a few times a day.
I first tried this on my sons cradle cap that had gotten so bad it was down to his eyebrows...I had tried everything i could get my hands on (olive oil inc)within 2 days of using this there was not a trace!
I use it when my daughter has ezcema flare ups and gave it to my bf who has suffered terribly with psoriasos over the years and it has affected her quiet badly on a social level.....she cried when she showed me the result less than a week later!
Give it a try and please keep me posted xxx0 -
I have the same problem with tights, bought some from Tesco the other day, they were called Velvet touch or something, they were £4 and they are completely opaque woohoo!!!!!0
