Help with Tights please?

Hi All,
Thought this might be a good place to ask!
I suffer badly with Psoriasis on my legs (and always have done), because of it I have ALWAYS worn trousers but woud love to get some dresses especially now winter and party season is coming
.
The problem I have is that none of the tights I have found on the high street have been thich enough to cover my legs properly
, I am a fairly large girl and find that even if I buy XL tights at the highest denier on offer that once I get in them and stretch them, the fabric becomes more 'see-through', I hope someone understands what I mean! Last night I had to wear two pairs which is just down right uncomfortable.
I don't know much about tights and have no idea what the highest denier is or whether there is somewhere specific I could buy from? A friend of mine used to roller skate and she had some amazingly thick flesh coloured tights but they were footless to fit over her rollerboots so no good for me.
If anyone has any suggestions or could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful

At the risk of hijacking this, I'd like some 'normal' denier grey tights, light not 'nearly black' or 'barely black'. At least XL. Holding tummy in style would be great. Any suggestions?Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
hi i got some 100 denier black tights from evans i got size 3 even though they r ment to be for woman 4 sizes bigger than me hth0

Thanks very much for your suggestions! I did find some 120 denier on the net but they are 'one size' so would have to do a fair bit of stretching :rotfl:
I did think about dance shops but they are all designed for skinny minnys but I might do some investigation. Evans might be a good call as they would be desgined for bigger sizes so hopefully I wont have to stretch them that much!
Think I will have to take a trip into town and visit Evans/M&S and I will definately check Asda next time I am there

I 2nd Evans tights. I'm a size 20 and 6ft tall and they fit me well. M&S do the odd pair that fit my height too.
Would you wear leggings instead? They are thicker. I'm not a fan of them though!

Leggings are a good idea! You could pop on a pair of socks and wear the leggingd with boots and dresses/ skirts!
I just love this time of year when my boots come out again:)

I find BHS tights quite good, if you have a look instore they usually have a small sample of the material so you can have a look & see how opaque they are. Also Asda are quite good they have a few 150 denier and a 300 denier but they are thermal so may be a bit hot, but for £4 might be worth a try.Booo!!!0

Definitely try Evans for comfy larger sized tights.
I always recommend Dorothy Perkins 80 denier coloured tights. I've got loads of pairs and they don't run, are so comfy and are lovely and thick. Definitely don't get that annoying see-through thing creeping in.0
