Why do you over over-complicate the obvious. why not let people test it, see for themselves what a great piece of software this is.How many reviews do you need to see the light.

It's not over complicating things, it's simply trying to establish how the tests were conducted in order to determine how credible the results are. It's a fundamental part of any experiment.
