  • Just tried to apply for a Christmas job on the Boots site. Says I can't do the questionnaire until I disable pop-ups. Have done that but it is insisting that I haven't.

Another one copying and pasting here,

Have you tried it in Internet Explorer Bookie? That site doesn't like Firefox if you use that normally

Thanks Sal....have copied the first bit into a word doc so I can print it off later. (I have an ebay account and a Paypal account already set up so can skip the first bit - go me!!)

That's exactly what I've just done. One day I WILL have a go :D

Now you should be on the page where you actually start to put your listing details in. Its always important to get as much info in here as possible. So Title...in here put Brand/Make, condition, size, colour and whatever other info you can..for example BNWT (brand new with tags) BN (brand new). So for the purpose of my listing I am going to write "Ex condition Monsoon Blue Jeans aged 4-5" in the title, on the condition select from the drop down box, you can then select the item specifics in the boxes next bit down like colour, material and brand or just leave them (which is what I tend to do). Next click on the add picture and select the browse button and select picture from the location you have saved it.
Now you need to describe what you are selling in as much detail as possible. I find that you need to be more OTT with certain things than others. If its technical you need to be very specific about all the details if its clothes then put in all the things you can think of, measurements if you can too. So for example in my listing i would write
" You are bidding on a beautiful pair of monsoon jeans in excellent condition. These have been worn by my daughter since new and no obvious wear and tear (if there is anything specific like a hem, knee you need to say). These are aged 4-5 and like most monsoon clothes are on the larger size of average. They come from a smoke and pet free home and have only been washed in Fairy (lots of people are fussy about washing powder on childrens clothes which Is why ive specified). These jeans look fab with a cosy jumper and boots for the coming Autumn winter so grab yourself a bargain. I also have other items for sale this week so take a look in my other items for sale"

You can obviously do in your own style!

Now scroll down and you can choose how you want to list your item as an auction where people bid or as a Buy it now (fixed price) listing. If its a low value item go for auction, if you want a specific price and quite happy to wait it out go for BIN. Put in the price you want it to start at. I generally list things starting at 99p as its free, but only do this if a) you are happy for it to be sold at that price if you only get one bidder or b) you are confident that the price will go up and save you money in the listing fee. So for example...I sold a diamond ring, I was confident that it would make more than the 99p as people would be around it after a bargain so I started it at 99p which was free. If I wasn't confident of people buying and wanted to make sure I got £50 then I would have started the listing at say 49.99

    right tbc...will be back

Bookie - I have been so busy eating frogs that I haven't had time for the elephants, but I have decided that this weekend is elephant weekend. Actually I seem to have 3!

    Ebay
House - falling into general state of untidiness and disrepair
    F7 - (an exam)

So in anticipation of the first - I have copied and pasted parts 1 and 2 and am awaiting 3!
House - I have tidied and almost cleaned Millys room...she is a pig and there is no other word for it! My SIL gave me some wallpaper to put up on her wall that she insists she doesn't want up but I am going to put it up while she is away for the week (and hope she doesn't make me take it down) I have also rearranged furniture - now I need to make a list of things that need mending/cleaning/chucking in her room.......

My room next - but I am sweating!

My elephant will be the huge washing pile. I dont do ironing as many of you know, but I hate sorting and putting away the washing. Today, it will all go upstairs and be put away.

Finally got in via google chrome. It didn't like IE at all!

I really did ought to move and do something constructive. Woke up with backache this morning and I seem to have found a comfortable position which is making me reluctant to move!
