Sal....are you any good at crafts? A friend of mine has just started making personalised clocks and selling them on eBay. I haven't seen them tbh, but she works part time and does this in her 'spare time'. I suppose there's lots of craft stuff on there already. Don't know what else to suggest hun. I think a lot of mums would love to work from home. What skills could you offer ie. typing, are you good with figures, selling?YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -
Hey Shoegal....
I am feeling distinctly un-motivated today, but have loads of boring stuff to do which I've been putting off for ages. Time to have another cup of tea and decide which bit of the elephant to tuck into first.
Mmmmmmmm ............ so far I have managed to do nothing this morning (except add up my debt total, which freaked me out ) - I too havr loads of boring things to doSometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -

Ok ShoeGal....how about we both put up one thing that we need to achieve this morning and then come back at, say, noon to tick it off (and get a well-deserved pat on the back)
Mine would be finding DD1's council tax exemption certificate (got to start small eh?)
.....and btw....knocking £6000 off your debt is fab (at least I hope that's an 8 and not a 0 in your first set of figs....hard to tell with the line running through it)YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

Good morning.
Rubbish weather here despite the forecast. Plan A was to garden and paint fences but it's far too wet and windy.
Don't really have a plan B - need to tidy up my work area as I seem to have had every single client's box of papers open this week. Hardly an elephant (Sammy hasn't mentioned elephants to me before) but a start.
Sal - if you do type up a guide could I possibly have a copy? Bless you.0 -

Okay now I am presuming that you all have an account already set up, I think now in order to sell stuff on ebay you also have to have a paypal account attached to it, so if you haven't got a paypal account I suggest that you go off and open one before you do anything else
What I always suggest before listing is to see if there are any similar or identical items for sale. Type in what you want to list in the search and see what you get, you can see what sort of prices they are currently at and what competition you have. if you click on a couple of them it will also let you see what categories they have been listed in. If its a high value item and you want to make sure its worth selling its often a good idea to do an advanced search and type in what you want to search for and then just a bit further down the page there is a box where you can tick completed listings. If you tick this it will then bring up all the items and the price they have sold for.
When I list something I don't generally set a reserve but start the price higher of the listing higher.
So for this purpose I am going to list a pair of childrens trousers. I click on the sell item, it then brings up a box where you can put in details and it will automatically find a category, I always bypass this and click on the "browse categories" below the box. It might then again at this point ask you to sign in again!
It will now bring up all the main categories, so I shall click on clothes shoes & accessories, it then brings up a second sub category so I shall click girls clothing, and again it will bring up another sub category, and I'll choose trousers. It will then tell you, you have selected your category, click on the blue box to continue. (depending on what you are listing depends on how many sub categories there are)
to be continuedI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Thanks Sal....have copied the first bit into a word doc so I can print it off later. (I have an ebay account and a Paypal account already set up so can skip the first bit - go me!!)YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0
