If its a choice between Slough & Heston - the view out over the M4 towards Heathrow is a lot more pleasant than that of Slough ! Check your private messages

Not too sure about hotels but for the tickets for the other family you could try http://www.365tickets.com/prodhubs.cfm/productId/68

We went last year, in July and was sooo busy, so although I think you only need 1 day as it's not a brill park but for queing you'd prob need 2 anyway.

There is a Travelodge in Staines. It's about 10 miles from Legoland and about 2 miles from Thorpe Park.

I can confirm its much cheaper to book hotel and tickets separatly, and even more cheap if you use travelodge instead of a 4 star hotel (whats the point you only sleep there and spend all day at legoland anyway!)

Ive just booked watford travel lodge, not been open long so should not be to shabby! unlike some travelodges that have free parking, and others that have an expensive car park for up to eight pounds per night this one charges only a quid a night and not much more if your out early!

fifteen pounds a night!!!!!! two adults, two children and a baby, they provide a cot but I had mixed advice on a couple of forums about the five in a room, whether its allowed or not, best thing is to call the travelodge you want to stay at and smile while your talking!! (their 0870 number is on the website, or you could try saynoto0879.com they have lots of alternative numbers that get you through to the reception desk you need) and confirm with the manager some allow it, some dont its at their discretion aparently.
Using tesco vouchers for lego land, however if you are going for more than one day to legoland it is actually cheaper to get an annual pass rather than two day passes using tesco vouchers as they dont do a two day pass option!!

    travelodge15+15+15 +tesco vouchers7.75+7.75+6+6+ parking1+1+1=75!!

thats even giving us an extra day to nip into London (20 mins from watford junction) to see the sights

so going back to the original thread......beat that anyone?!!
