this is driving me mad now, i have no access to my phone.
i have put in the blackberry software and trying to follow these instructions(below) but it is telling me to verify that my phone is connected to my laptop, but i cannot verify it as my phone has a message on the screen "app error 523 reset"
these are the instructions:Plug your phone into your computer using a USB cable
Open Desktop Manager - select Application Loader
Click Start under Add/Remove Applications
Remove the check mark next to any recently installed applications
Click Next
Click Finish
Once the process is complete unplug your BlackBerry from your computer
Remove the battery for 30 seconds....put it back in.
Your phone should boot successfully
If you don't have Desktop Manager (every BB owner should) get it here:

Have you loaded any new themes or apps on to your phone. If you have remove them and try a reboot (battery removal without switching off) so you have the basic software that came with the phone.
If this doesn't work try with your operators latest software, or if you are confident at editing software try this:-

I've carried out this procedure many times on my Curve 8900, I've had no problems provided you follow the instructions. You MUST delete the vendor xml file this is the networks own software/bloatware.
Before carrying out any procedure back up your phone or there is a possibility you will lose your personal information.0
