I had a letter today to say that the Drama set was out of stock and wouldn't be coming in again so they have cancelled my order :(.

    have to partly disagree

however.... when I rang customer services.... they were brilliant, have promised to send me a full new set, and to take what I want from it to complete my service, very happy, love the crockery and very happy with customer services

I partly agree with you........they can't be all bad. ;)

  • Denby has a factory shop in Derbyshire which is dirt cheap and much better value than Debenhams - although the factory seconds won't have the logo underneath them, you can usually find a full dinner service with almost identical faults.
eg mine has a faint brown ring on the rim next to the green edge it should have ( Regency Green pattern if anyone knows it). If it all looks like this who's to know the difference?

Geez, the courier was supposed to turn up last Wednesday to collect my boxes, they didn't. They were supposed to collect them Friday instead...guess what - THEY DIDN'T.

Getting fed up with them, big time.

Actually I have got something better to do, than sit in and wait for couriers that do not turn up.
  • The third set turned up today...

I knew today was not such good news when I heard my Denby rattling around in the box...I immediately rang them and asked if I should dare to open the box at all. As they had no more to offer me, I had to.

But 2 tea cups (1 broken handle other chipped badly) had suffered during transit by courier/delivery . :wall:

1 saucer also chipped bad and still inside the sealed plastic bag.

If only Debenhams could send me these items somehow after picking out individual non-damaged items from their returns ...

Initially offered 10% off but as replacement pieces are c £9-10 a piece, this doesn't work out to be reasonable so then was offered 20% instead as I really want & will buy replacement items due to purchase of many other pieces in this range already.

Perhaps someone fancies selling me their damaged set (provided min of 2 cups and 1 saucer)? - Handy spares?
