Well the original description on the Debenhams website for the Signature set was 'blue and cream'. They are certainly not blue and cream... which I had sussed out anyway.
From this site
http://www.chinacraft.co.uk/search/Denby_china.htm
the description is :
"Dress your home to impress with the understated style of Denby Signature China. Eye-catching designs in classic white that are tailor-made for the most stylish spaces."
Unhelpfully there is no description on the Denby site.
To me it is not classic white but mottled off white.... so not easy to match any other crockery. Anyway - one chipped mug and I can't be bothered with messing about so they are going back.
I am sure the customer service on the phone is great - but their website is pretty dire.0 -
Had one chipped cup. phoned up, they said they would replace it.
Then rang back to say they couldn't replace individual pieces, but would replace with a set..which they'd ran out of!
So got offered 10% discount which is great for me.0 -
Had mine booked in to be collected by courier yesterday. I'm still waiting! They are going to collect it tomorrow...yeh we'll see. When I spoke to CS this morning, I complained right at the end as they hadn't even apologised!
What a shambles!0 -
Am I the only one that has had superb service for these then? Even had a call to arrange delivery. 2 of mine arrived this morning 30 mins ago and in mint condition too. Love the creamy/greeny/natural colour too! Much preferred to the blue and white stated on the website. Will look superb on my dining table.
Just waiting for one more delivery now...Couriers were kind enough to drop them off exactly where I wanted them as well.
My sisters have bought Denby sets already and I was feeling left out due to the price but now I am so delighted!
Thanks Debs! :T0 -

have to partly disagree
the debenhams website is crap i agree and our courier dropped one of our boxes, which is probably why we had a couple of breakages.........
however.... when I rang customer services.... they were brilliant, have promised to send me a full new set, and to take what I want from it to complete my service, very happy, love the crockery and very happy with customer services0 -
Well if anyone has damaged pieces my 2 sets are winging their way back to Debenhams at this very moment so don't let them tell you they are out of stock.
I tried to return them - but the packing slip said I should contact the courier company as indicated on the outside of my packaging. There is no courier called 'Fragile' and there were no courier details at all on ths packing details form. An email eventually sorted it out as I try to avoid 0845 or 0870 numbers.0 -
I too was also told they were out of stock, so hence my three damaged boxes are going back, if the courier ever turns up! When we opened all three boxes, the mugs were loose inside...no wonder items were damaged.
What kind up a numpty packages crockery like this? :rolleyes:0 -

Not in ours they weren't.... The were doing a blue and white Royal Doulton set for that price. It was an Early Bird special so I doubt that they were doing the Denby sets nationally. £50 after 11 and RRP of about £130 from memory. I saw the Early Bird instore list at the checkout and there was only the Royal Doulton set on it in the crockery line.0
