you should be able to do stopovers you want. i've done so before. try calling sta or one of the other big travel agencies like trailfinders. they are used to doing longhaul / rtw trips with stopovers. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0

If I've put this in the wrong place as just the flights sub group can someone who knows how to move it for me?0

I was hoping to do it all online if poss but will give Trailfinders a go0

try Malaysian airlines - from my days as a travel agent I remember you could stopover and add up to 2 internal flights (within Malaysia)
they also offerered excellent accommodation deals
don't know if this is still the case, times have changed!
Qantas/BA will have tickets where you can layover too.0 -
I used to be an STA agent - they will def be able to do this for you,it's an easy itinerary!

We are going January to Perth WA and have a five night stop-over in Kuala Lumpur at no extra cost with malaysian Airlines. We booked with Southall Travel. Just not too sure where to stay in KL now. Heard Bukit Bintang for all the usual but most Hotels we explore have not too good ratings!! Anybody able to offer advice/ Thanks in advance.0

Have you looked at https://www.airasia.com? then add in a https://www.tunehotel.com in KL - worth a look. I know they fly this route,
I booked it.
Best price this year would have been around £400 inc return flights and hotel in KL (Per person FULLY inc) :whistle:0 -
I use Kayak.co.uk to check for the cheapest prices then usually will go direct to the airlines it suggests to finetune the trip. It has a multi-city function which you may find helpful.
I'd check out Tigerairways and Air asia as a couple of low cost options as well. If you have the time I'd probably go with a London - KL return with Air Asia, then a Melbourne - KL return. I looked into this last year (well London - KL then KL - Perth return) it knocked a couple of hundred pounds off.Kim Kiminey, Kim Kiminey, Kim Kim Cheroo, I does what I like and I like what I do!0
