Carphone Warehouse online credit check - how long?

Does anyone know how long it takes for Carphone Warehouse to perform their online credit check? Network is O2...

Placed the order last night, tracked through Quidco and got 1st Confirmation email immediately but says they will send 2nd email with status of credit check shortly but not heard anything after 12 hours. On their website it does say that: "if you don't hear anything you can assume you've passed." but this contradicts their first email. Confused :think:

Hi,

I ordered online with Carphone Warehouse (Orange contract). I hadn't received the 2nd email after 24 hours, so I phoned them. They said that my order hadn't been processed yet and they would put me through to sales who would complete my order. I did that, they said my phone would arrive the next day, which it did. However, 2 days later I got an email saying my phone was on its way! I phoned them and that was for the first order. The sales guy had not completed my order, but started a whole new one! The person I spoke to also said that online orders are dealt with in back office who get so many orders to process a day and sometimes it can take a few days for them to get to an order! I think this is pretty shocking and I won't be ordering online with them again.
