  • But I'm baffled now as to how I'll get up to £512 or even £1024 as I've sold pretty much everything in my house that hasn't been used for over a year!

    :rotfl:
I did that a while ago, I struggled to find anything to start this challenge!!
finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!
  • THis works because if you have an auction with a BIN option and someone bids rather that uses the BIN, your BIN disappears.

I found that out the hard way!! but why did the printer listed by someone here still keep the bin price even after it had had a bid (actually I think ive just realised-could it be because there was a reserve price??)

Yes you are quite right. The BIN will only disappear once there is a bid that reaches any reserve price. However the minimum reserve is £50, so adding a BIN and a reserve to such an expensive item is going to cost a bomb in fees,

  • Hi everyone - I'm glad to see that you're all doing so well.
(Hope you get better soon emily!! :grouphug: Being ill's rubbish isn't it!)

I've haven't updated for ages as everything's been happening but I'm back on course now - and I'm going to do a breakdown of my earnings so far in case it helps anyone earn more:

YouGov £50 (It took me about 2 years to save this up but it's still free money!)
Paddypower win (£2 free credit) £44
    Pigsback £15
    Swapits £8.50
    Ebay Sales from freebies £49.37
    Amazon Sales from freebies £12.38
    Mystery Shopping £17.50
    Audit fee £100
    Quidco from betting sites/bingo sites/magazine subscriptions £125.77
    Matched Betting £158.56
    Littlewoods loss (£0.25)
    House of Research £20

    TOTAL £600.83

I'm planning to do more matched betting and my brother said that if I helped him with Quidco and matched betting he will give me half the money he makes so that's brilliant!!!

I've just signed up to Archerfish and plan to try and find more freebies to ebay - free vouchers (ie amazon, argos, etc) from survey sites seem to do really well for people who don't want to do matched betting. IScan and Ipoints are also things I plan to try and make money out of, (also for people who don't want to match bet again)

I saw Nighttime rewards mentioned earlier but can't find them on the web - please could someone post a link?

I'm now going to investigate empty perfume bottles on ebay as that seems like fun and I've loads of almost empty bottles I've received as gifts over the years, (the perfume not just the bottle!!!)

I hope that I've helped someone with an idea - it'll be brilliant if we can all help each other - I strongly recommend Quidco and matched betting for those who haven't tried it, (I'm not super clever and I understand matched betting so there's definately hope for everyone!!!)

  • Opps - also another thought if you don't want to do matched betting - how about taking out some of the cheap magazine subscriptions with free gifts and selling the gifts - some of them are really nice!

  • Ummm - empty perfume bottles don't seem to be doing that well on ebay really :o

  • Guy's, I've just spent most of this evening reading throuh this thread!!! i am utterly inspired!!!

I'm going to become a DFW member as I had a 'light bulb' moment some time ago...I'll put details of this on another thread....in the meantime....I am inspired by this challenge!

Today I received a cheque for £50 from Past Times cos I complained about an order that never arrived (that I cancelled & got a full refund). Hope that counts as money for nothing.

Then I took some time out tonight to ebay a mobile that was a free upgrade phone last year (I am no longer on contract), it's already at £16 !!! Yippeeeee!!!! Auction ends next Sunday so I'll let you know how it goes.

The only problem is are we meant to be doubling every week??? Yikes!!!

Also, one more quick Q...what's a BIN????

Good luck to all and thanks for the inspration!!
