The only way an eCheck will slip through is if the buyer sends payment to your email address using Paypal rather than paying via the link within eBay. I often get buyers saying something like 'ive bought this item and for some reason Paypal isnt letting me pay, can you let me have your email address'. Invariably this means they are trying to pay by eCheck so I advise them they cant and to use a card to fund the payment or send a cheque. I point out my terms of sale are payment within 5 days and therefore eChecks dont quite fulfill that criteria.
Strictly speaking you're not meant to set your account to refuse echeques if you are receiving payments for ebay items.
I thought that it actually prevented you doing it... but it seems you can. This is handyMy TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0
