  • For god's sake don't take it in store, just take a photo with you if you must - go to Food standards. We did this with Ribena - no satisfying outcome, but at least we knew there had been a thorough investigation.
  • i found a hard object in the asda smartprice "weetabix". I feed this to my 2 year old daughter, just put two in a bowl and pour milk on and let it all congeal, alot less messier than crumbling it. I got to a spoonful and thought the hard lump was some that didnt melt so i took the back of spoon and tried to mash it but with no luck. Then i found another one, this one a bit smaller. I just left it in the bowl, and still have both bits. Thank cripes i noticed it and that shes not feeding herself!! I am not sure what to do, i have the packaging shall i give head office a ring tomorrow?

I would not even take it to the shop, it would be teh manufacturer who is to blame. The shop would have a defence of due diligence - how could they know that there was something in teh can?

Contact your environmental health department, not the shop. They will contact the processor and will be able to trace the batch.

It may be a one off, but it could also be that there are a few problems at the factory which need investigating.
Don't bother trying to sue me - I've got no money!
