I am unsure where to put this post, if someone could move it this would be appreciated.
We just doing some cooking and whilst emptying the tin of chopped tomato's, a sharp black object was mixed in with the tomato's, what can i do to complain as theres no phone or contact details for asda on the tin.
Images below and links to bigger versions.

At least we noticed it before cooking and then eating the meal, might have caused some damage if tried to eat this. Raisin Box used for size.

Or should I report this to someone else as well,
any advice appreciated.

You shou;ld go back to the shop and ask to see the manager & lodge a formal complaint. Or if you want to take it further contact your local food standards agency.0

Do not wash the object - take it back asap to the store and file a complaint with them.
They will be in touch soon on the outcome

You will be lucky, their customer service is utter crap (well it is online & over the phone, can't comment on instore service as I haven't been for ages!) . You will be better calling the store/head office!:j :j0 -
DONT let them take it off you. Once you have given it to them it will probably disappear into thin air.
I worked for a hygiene company and we had a lady return a 3inch nail which she found in one of their products - they just sent her an apology and a few free samples. Were not bothered as they had the evidence. This was a long while ago tho (20years ish) so may be things have changed but better to be safe than sorry.0 -
The telephone number is : 0845 300 1111
I very recently had to contact them about a hair I found in my Indian parathas. The guy sounded ok on the telephone, he asked me all questions about the product, barcode etc etc so make sure you keep the packaging.
Good luck, let us know how you got on.0 -
you have the evidence and also should have posted the pic of tin so I know to avoid it, Its not on they must really do something and also there is a website like watchdog etc here I hope you can get something sorted.
Once at work (long time ago) A man just warmed beans in tin and ate, if he had done that with these ufff.
Please Take it further0 -
