Car heating warm then going cold?
Does anyone have an idea what is going on with my car heating?
It starts off lovely and warm but then goes cool even though its set up high?
The BF suggesed I didn't have enough water/cooolant etc in the radiator but there is more than the maximum line - is this bad? Could it be affecting the heating?
Thanks

I'd go with this......
It's probably set to a certain temp and when it hits that temp it reduces the temperature of the air to keep the car at a comfortable temperature. I've found that my ex's however seemed to like hot air blowing constantly regardless of the interior temperature. They also liked to smack the fans on flat out when the engine's still cold and it's minus 12 outside (as if it'll warm up any quicker).

If its warm when you are driving slowly or stuck in traffic, then goes cold when you start moving faster,as said above, the thermostat is either stuck open or opening to soon.Replacing it should be cheap and easy.0
