  • thank goodness! The van seems to be fine and lovely and my oh is currently trundling his way northwards. I have to wait until tomorrow evening before seeing it and finding out if it is a boy or a girl.

I have also got all my accounts for the last 3 months done today as well as a modest amount of housework.
My youngest son currently has a friend over, but I will take her home shortly and then fancy a chill in front of the tv for the rest of the night - new series of Merlin starts tonight :) (I sound like I am getting old.lol)

    Anyone doing anything fun tonight?

    Hello
Just a quick hello from me, but I'm off to subscribe to your diary, I like the sound of it already, so I will be back to follow your progress with interest if that's ok with you.

  • Thanks Primula, it would be lovely to have you following :) Do you have a diary of your own?

No, no diary of my own now, i just like following other people's!
  • A stunning day here today. I'm chuffed with the productiveness of yesteday and aim to continue the momentum today starting with popping to town to pick up my teenage son from his friend's house so he can come home and get his essays done.
Will fit in a trip to Lidl and see what strange and glorious offerings they have this week (must remember it isnt a bargain if I don't need it).

Looking forward to a bagel, cream cheese and ham for lunch when we get back.

Yesterday discovered that the cc I had applied for (Barclaycard) doesnt do super balance transfers so I also applied for the Virgin card to pay for this van. I closed the last one after finishing stoozing with it last August, so hopefully they will let me have another. Wasn't a business day so I need to wait for a decision. Not sure what to do if they don't allow me to have it. As long as I don't apply for any more credit cards this will have been a good exercise in keeping my credit rating fresh though I suppose.

    Today's goals

    • Tidy house
    • Ironing (Just kids stuff, teatowels etc i know not very green, but piles of neatly folded clothes and my kids looking neat for 5 mins make me feel a little less like a bad mum)
    • Hoover
    • Give dog and cat a very good brush outside as I disapprove of their moultings
    • House accounts - find out how much spare a month so I can budget how quickly to pay off cc.
    • Meal plan for week
    • Spend some time on a beach
    • Homework with youngest son
    • Decide what youngest son wants for his birthday party

Have a good Sunday everyone :)

I think Tescos c/c is zero percent for a time, and you get Tesco clubcard points too

    Thanks Matymoo :)
hahah would have been wise to do the meal plan first indeed. As it was I didnt go into Lidl as I am allergic to shopping with children in tow and couldn't face it. Just picked up my son and came home.

Will meal plan later on, hopefully trying to use up things I already have, then I can do a small top up shop tomorrow evening when I pop in to pick my motorbike up after its' MOT..

Really need to stop looking at stripey deck chairs and get on with some work.. ooops

  • My baby girl is 20 today! 20 years ago I was an excited and a bit scared (just) 18 year old in hospital alone waiting to go into labour. She was 13 days late and born very quickly, with no problems. Came out very happy and contented and continued to live her childhood full of mischief, monkeyness and extreme cuteness.

Sad that she is so far away (she lives near Milton Keynes with her boyfriend), but I have spoken to her on the phone and she is having a lovely day - despite me posting childhood pics of her on facebook.. teehee.

    Happy birthday S :) xxxxxxxxx
