Credit Card Company taken payment for £5500 instead of £500

    £50 is 1% of the amount they took in error - if I failed to pay them £5000 would they have charged me 1%? I think it would have been significantly more than that plus £12 fee.

    If they had returned the money on Tuesday when I raised it I would have been happy - but it took me 3 days and 7 phone calls to resolve. Each time I spoke to someone I was told something different.
  • Further update - after sending a very lengthy letter explaining all my issues - which started when they stopped my card in June, then fraudulent use (which I suspect was related to card being stopped/released in June), then this mess - I got a phone call offering a further £150! Not recieved it yet - but in theory I'm now a happy customer again!
