insuaring iphone , purchased privatly.

Hallo everyone, I need some advice. I traded my htc desire, with an iphone, about 4 weeks ago, and now am trying to get the iphone insured, via my bank, and they are asking me, for purchase date, as well as contract type. Now the iphone in question, is a 3gs, and the person, i exchanged with, had taken it out on contract, in january 2010, and i had exchanged it with them , sometime in march. So my question, is were my bank is asking for purchase date, should i use the date, i exchanged it with the previous owner,?.

  • Vix, You need to explain to the bank what it is you've done. Tell them the date the person who bought it did so and the date you exchanged the phones. They will most likely put the January date down on their system, but you need to make sure you've given them the correct details.
