New orange iphone, no signal at home
I have just bought an iphone 4 from the Orange shop and signed up to a 24mnth contract. I got home and realised that I have no signal at home, having checked online, and it says that we have full signal.
Can I cancel the contract?

Yes I have made a call on it on the way home from the shop, when I got home it says no signal.
And it has no signal when sat on the side, so its not how I am holding it.0 -
Yes; you should be able to cancel the contract. Go back to the shop and tell them that they have sold you a phone based on incorrect information - the website says you would get a signal when you don't. Tell them you want to cancel the contract and return the phone, plus you want whatever you paid for the phone upfront returned.
If they tell you they can't do this, you can inform them that they are in breach of the Sale Of Goods Act and as such you will be contacting Trading Standards to take the matter up on your behalf. Do that as loudly as you can.
You need to take this action as soon as possible, as the longer you have the phone the more difficult it will be to get out of the contract. In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -

Correct, you cant even back up or transfer your contacts from phone to sim without a hellishly complicated routine. My friend lost ALL his contacts because of the stupid method iphone uses, you are locked into itunes. google 'backing up contacts on the iphone' and see how many people have had this problem...
Buy an HTC Phone, trust me you will not regret it!never put off buying a bargain today,it may be gone tomorrow0
