Sorry if this is an old thread but due to the fact after 7 days of 15 missed calls a day from 01913009131 & 01422322833. I did a bit of research to find the numbers were both from Discover Finance.Whom i found that if you contacted both these number would either place u on hold or pick up and hang straight up, play a recorded message telling me the office is closed even though im calling within the times that it tells me are the opening hours.
Google came up with an alternate no. 08445766235 when contacting this number im greeted with several options most of which put me on hold but if i press option "1" their happy to accept my details for a payment i explained the situation to be told in a raised voice and aggressive manor that the reason both numbers keep contacting me is because i quote "they can and will" i asked what they need to contact me regarding and she said due to that we need to fill in some personal details, which i reply i have no need or wish to give them details and for them to stop contacting me to her reply of "sir, we will contact u as many times as we want and when we want. If your unhappy with this change your phone number" I was then told im wasting her time and the phone was put down on me.

So lets wait and see if they ring me again i might just keep them talking for as long as possible it can be a new game each time i might beat my record.

Your Post is rather lengthy and difficult to follow. You might like to break any further posts into sentences for easier reading.

If I was in your position, I would just block the number from ever being received. Even my iphone will now do this with the latest software update. I've blocked two numbers that have been pestering me and I don't know whether they have stopped trying or not as I never hear from them.

What message they receive when they try to reach me I neither know or care.

  • Hi sorry the post was to long for you & my grammar wasn't to your expectations. But the main reason for my post was to let people know the experience I have with this company.
I am not to bothered about the company contacting me it's the fact they they contact several different numbers to which I have that are in the same contract to my phone and all in my name. All of which they contact asking for my name and each number yesterday recievied more then 10 missed calls this is a little "OTT" if you ask me but to each their own.

Again I'm sorry for inconviniancing you with such a long post. It was more a rant which I just wanted people to see so they know to block these numbers before hand so it doesn't start or happen to them.

Wasn't to mine either, I gave up on line 2.

You're welcome to rant and get it off your chest but you can't expect people to wade through and pay attention to that....whatever it was about.

Like I said your are more then happy to say what u want perhaps my English level is not to your standards but I have tried my best there is no need to slate me for trying is there ?
Plus its off the subject of the matter is this thread not regarding nuisance PPi calls from discovery finance ? Not about my errors in your understanding of the English language ?

Nobody is 'getting' at you. All Apples and I have done is suggest how you could get more people to read your posts.

Many people do not have the patience to wade through anything that is not 100%, or might need some thought.

Your English is much better than my French or German, or Apples's as well I'll wager!

  • I have had a call from this company today off an incomplete number (0378 988) and the girl on the phone was very rude.

She said she is calling to finalise my load application, to which I told her I had not applied for a loan. She then said in an extreamly patronising tone "yes you have Vicky". I then stated in a very rude way back that I think I would know if I had applied for a loan or not and I was not interested and she said "fine" and put the phone down.

I have Googled this company and they look like a right bunch of cowboys. I would steer well clear!!

Thank goodness for someone who's got some common sense. All too often, we get posts from someone in your position who has gone ahead after receiving a similar call, only to find that £69 or whatever has disappeared from their bank account after they gave out bank card details.

We have to keep passing on the message - Don't give out your card details unless you are buying something. Getting a loan doesn't entail giving out these details.

A few months ago a mate got a payday loan from wonga. No problem.
I go online 3 months ago but couldnt apply to them on my mobile cos it wouldnt let me click in my DOB.
So I tried one or two more until I did finally make an application. . .
Still I didnt find any offer.
Come my next payday I find my bank account short nearly £100.
Confused I asked my bank where and why my moneys short.
Apparently I unknowingly give permission to BROKERS to take their FEES from it.
After a more indepth education about payday lenders, I now know who, what, where their scams are.
Though I have still had over £300 taken from my account in the last 10 weeks.
    All UNAUTHORISED !!
When I get in touch with them Im told the money will be returned but will take at least 7 working days.
I phoned again and then told it takes 30 days.
When I point out I never agreed to any Terms and Conditions. Im accidently on purpose - cut off.
Discovery finance. Phoned the other day and after some questions tell me Im allegable for a loan and to hold the line to finalise a payout with the their boss.
But again I was cut off.
Just aswell cos I have now stumbled upon this site and found all this FANTASTIC ADVICE.
    Thankyou !!

Everyone of those debits HAS been authorised by you. They didn't just guess your bank details, you gave them out. It's just that you did not read what you were signing up to.

Read (yes, that's right, read) all the posts above which will tell you how to get your money back.
