I've got an Excel spreadsheet set up which details my cards, credit limit, current balance (which I constantly update), percentage of credit used and how these figures will change if I make a payment of £x to it.

It really helps me to plan things out and to see the scale of my current debt. I think its a good thing to regularly remind yourself.

Now I'm doing well some days it's taking control of me. I should be happy that after some hiccups I am under the £15,000 perminantly (sort of hovered just below/just above for a couple of months. Alas NO I want to be under the £12,000 mark. Off to update sig with new targets.:A

I think about money quite a bit and check bank accounts online most days. But then I remember that I have a happy life with a lovely husband and the fact that I can still have food on the table and a roof over my head - so much more than some people, and for that I am thankful!

haha - I have one of these too, it's colour-coded and everything!!

I find myself looking forward to payday, not so that I can buy something nice but so I can pay another chunk of the debt off (tragic I know)

    Me too,
I'm totally obsessed with interest rates and what I can cut back on where to pay off a bill. I have my little black book where I write it all down and I'm constantly making little calculations here there and everywhere to make the books balance.
    You're not alone !!
