UPDATE 13 SEPT 1PM
Hi folks, thanks for all your help and feedback.
We have now put the new look version of last week's email live at
https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/latesttip
Meaning you will no longer be able to compare the new one you received to the old one, but you can maybe tell us what you think of this onsite version?!
Thanks again
Dan

If you got one, please leave your feedback below:
If you didn't, we'll be putting it up on the site on Monday 13 Sept so you can have a browse.

- Was it easier to read?
- Was it easier to scan?
- Do you read detailed paragraphs or just click through the links - has it made what you want to do better
- There are more headlines at the top but they're smaller - do you miss the bigger headlines
- Did you read the top story the one next to the headlines or skim past it (if so was it due to the content, ie childcare vouchers or beccause you didnt see it and went straight below)
- Were there any technical glitches, things that didnt render properly

I really liked the new format, it is less 'busy' and you can pick out instantly what is of interest.:beer:0

I like the new format, it's much easier to read and makes it less likely to miss a bit!0

Looks great to me.
Much easier to read.May Wins: 2 x Beauty Brilliance Multipurpose Highlighter Sticks in pink and gold, Cellulite buster cream, Garnier eye roll-on stuff and James Brown Hair Mask.

I immediately noticed the difference and despite the email subject saying it was the money saving tips email, I thought I was getting an extra (well, I guess in a way I was!) because it looked different.
I liked how everything was in the middle.
I usually look through the entire email but it's good to see the headlines for the skim readers.
I don't really miss the old style.Lurker extraordinaire! no. 4950
Food Shopping & Groceries is my favourite board.

It is definitely more visually appealing. However, there are a couple of usability issues.
Firstly, many Outlook users (like me) have their email set up in three columns with folders, email list and preview window. This means that if the content is over to the right of the email, you do a lot of scrolling. If the 'Headlines', 'Share' and 'News' boxes were swapped with the introductory bit, so they were on the right instead of the left, it would be much better.
Secondly, some email clients are text based (my android phone falls back to text based if the html email is too complex). Some of the content is missing in the plain text version of the email.
But otherwise I like it!0 -
A great improvement - I'm impressed !0

I didn't really see a great change that of what it is now. Yes it's less cluttered, but the email is longer now and tbh, I much prefer the old (older than the one your thinking of getting rid of) style email.Best Freebies/Wins/Testers so far: HP Officejet Pro 8500, Vax Zen, Thorpe Park Tks, 2x Rockwell Tkts, Windows 7, 2x Chelsea vs Arsenal Tkts, Genio Phone, JLS Tickets, 2 PSP games, 2 Xbox 360 games, iPod Touch, Blackberry Torch, Westlife Tkts, Tinie Tempah tkts, New York Trip AND MORE...Thanks to all posters on here:beer::T0

It looks a bit prettier but honestly I wouldn't have realised if I hadn't seen the notice0

I prefered the title headings and found it easier to read.
I don't know if it's my browser on this screen, but I always have to adjust the width of the inbox so I can view the entire width of the email. Probably just because my email has too many adverts around it!0
