If I appealed it what would they want to see?

3 years of accounts normally works well.

Seriously you're in a difficult posisiton because your self-employment is unproven.

You must have some sort of accounts for your business even they have not been audited, however 4 months doesn't put you in a good posistion.

There is no harm in appealing though.
  • Thanks for all the help.

I've applied for Barclaycard Gold and it says I have been successful :)

Though I have read threads where they have done this, sent the card, then rejected you, so I won't be jumping up and down just yet
  • Nice one. Glad you got it sorted :)

Let us know if the electoral roll still hasn't been updated on your Experian report and we'll look into it for you.

I am an official company representative of Experian. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"

Thanks, I did email your customer services about it yesterday. I have been on my current roll since August 3rd, but still listed as not registered on my report.
I am also concerned it still has me down as being registered at my old house, as I had someone fraudulently open an account in my name two month's ago. The council have confirmed I am not registered there now.

Thanks :) Got 0% until October 2011, so fingers crossed they give me a reasonable limit. I did put how much I want to transfer in the application, so that should help.

I don't like Barclays, but hopefully I won't have to deal with them beyond paying off my transferred balance :rotfl:
  • same for me as per electoral roll, been on it since August 1st and Experian haven't updated yet. Spoke to someone at Experian who said I may get on there in the next week and if not, it would not update until December!

Nice...any idea if this is true James?
  • If I rang Barclays up would they be able to tell me my limit, as it would be nice to transfer another small balance as well?

They refused to tell me mine before I'd activated my card. But mine was a refer then approve.

Not sure if it's the same with instant approval. Your call if you want to call them and find out ;)
