  • Gosh, I'm positively slovenly by everybody else's standards! I've taught my kids to get themselves up and dressed, go to the baker for rolls and milk, get their breakfast, make their own packed lunches, put the dishes in the dishwasher, plait their own hair, pack their schoolbags and bring me coffee in bed :D

I'm lucky if I can get myself ready by 8.30... :o

I'd just got out of the shower at 7.30am this morning and I'm proud of myself for doing sooooooooooo much at such an early time :D

I got up a whole 20 minutes early as I had to drive to Telford for a meeting so at 730 I'm usually smashing the snooze button for the 4th time and my 12yr old is shouting 'mum, thats your 4th snooze and if you dont get up I'm gonna be late for school and then I'm gonna be mad - I think its called role reversal!!!!!!!!!'.

    I'm not a morning person.

Or an evening person - night everyone ;)

    I think I'm an 1130 - 1140 kinda girl.

I get up at 7.15 and go to work by 8 so in the morning I don't get much done, (this morning I did also turn on the slow cooker, turn on the washing machine and put the recycling out a day early by mistake). But from when I got home from work yesterday to 7.30pm I had managed to put yesterdays tea on, prepare and brown some meatballs (over 30 so that took a while), hoover downstairs and the stairs, fold the washing and get another load ready, make a loaf of bread, prepare the sauce to go with the meatballs, oh and have tea. So that aint so bad.

I've had a few chuckles reading these posts, so thanks!

I'm a day late in answering (typical!) so I'll tell you what I was doing at 7.30am today instead ;)

    Sleeping!!!!!! :D

Was woken at 7.55am by my son kissing me goodbye on his way out to school (he's well-trained and gets himself up in the morning) and since then ....

I've made, and drunk, 7 cups of coffee while doing my online stuff ... opened the post and got a freebie slim-fast bar and Barts recipe book ... phoned Powergen to get my meter changed from pre-paid to monthly billing and also change to them for gas (landlord gave me permission and wondered why I hadn't done it years ago  ) ... and put some washing in the machine.

    Lazy cow aint I ;)

Not really, if you was a lazy cow you wouldnt have bothered with Powergen would you?;) I would rather tackle all the housework than sort out household bills and finances.

much lazier morning today - got up at about 8 to stir the slow cooker which was on over night, sorted through emails and had a cup of coffee. post came about 8.30 so I got all of that read and filed and put the council tax letter to one side then rang them about nine to sort out why oh why they think I owe them money (in excess of £226?!). now that I have given the lady on the phone a training session on her computer system a further letter has been generated to confirm that in fact they owe me £33.51 and a credit has been requested. put spuds on for lunch and got mum up, fed cats, sorted laundry shouted at neighbours dogs, chatted online for several hours and sent copious emails. oh yeah, looked for a job too. oh and helped sort out a prob with my friends beam controlled keyboard (musical not 'puter). ok actually I didnt help at all but I read the replies to a post on a forum :)

I'm not actually dressed in clothes yet though - should I be concerned?

I got up at 8, got ready for the day, had brekky, checked all my emails etc, tidied up my room & did my washing up, then went to a lecture.

I can walk to my lectures in less than a minute which is great because I don't have to get up too early. had to get up at 6.30 for years and years to get to school. am so not a morning person.
