and these Babyliss Pro 230

They are both good, I prefer the Remington ones as they are slightly smaller and easier to handle.0 -
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001TRFJGI/ref=oss_product I have ordered these for a very MSE price but they haven't arrived yet so no idea if they are any good. I usually use GHD's but as my hair is getting much longer it takes ages to straighten with the standard ones.
What kind of hair do you have as that will have an impact on what straighteners are best for you?If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -
sorry for the blatant plug but i have a brand new pair of corioliss straighteners which i brought from a debenhams concession but then had a change of heart and got myself some GHDs instead (!) - pm me if you would like to buy them from me and we can sort something out!

I'd recommend Remingtons - I've used GHDs in the past and my Remington straighteners are easily as good, although maybe not as fast at straightening.
I have these ---> http://www.amazon.co.uk/Remington-S2003-Protection-Fabric-Straightener/dp/B000H8TLGE/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=drugstore&qid=1283947353&sr=1-7
They're currently £29.50 on Amazon, so just under your £30 budget:www: Saving for a deposit - Target £30k by 24/03/14 (30th Birthday!) :www:

I would highly recommend the Asda ceramic ones. They heat to the same temperatures as GHDs and are very effective - there are lots of rave reviews online about them. They are an absolute steal at £7.97 too..
I second this, they are brilliant. I got them after my mk4's broke just as an emergency until i could buy some new GHD's....still using them!0 -
I use to have some SHE hair straighteners very similar to GHD but without the price tag. Also quite a few salons in Sheffield use these on the clients.
Or the other alternative is the Herstyler straighteners but buy them online not from the malls as you will save money.0
