Also, based in Brighton if that helps?
There are loads of health related free modules which would expand your knowledge base and keep your study skills sharp http://openlearn.open.ac.uk/
Have a look at the Health and Social Care and Psychology ones.

What about joining a book group? It'll get you meeting people too, and if your mum doesn't mind maybe they could meet at your house every so often so you won't always have to go out for it.If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0

How about decorating the house for your Mum so the walls she is stuck looking at every day are a bit nicer for her?:beer:Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Some wonderful suggestions - just wondering littlenicki if your Mum is well enough to be able to do some of these things with you? As she might also be totally bored. Things like reading the same book and discussing it might be really good, or some crafting or card-making?
I hope she gets better soon xx:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
How about making a scrapbook/memory book for or with your mum ? That's something that can be picked up and put down easily, and you'll be able to find pictures of your mum's primary/junior/senior schools on the net, with luck. Also pics of fashions she wore when she was a child, teenager etc. (Bay City Rollers is always good for a laiugh).
Video and audio cllps of her favourite pop groups, pics of her wedding ............ the list is endless......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
