I managed to find the 2p Pickled Shallots today. They were hidden on the edge of the pickled onion shelf and SEL said 2p down from £2.45. I got 3 jars and pointed them out to another lady looking at pickled onions and she bought 2 aswell. BTW they taste really good. Best before date May 2012

They're pickled, they'll last forever, lol

Can I just ask a really dumb question? How are you all price checking these items before the checkouts? Is there a machine you can use to do this?

Sorry but technology is not my strong point.

    Thanks
  • There are scannin full price in Silverburn:(
It's already happening folks ... Tesco will have also found sites such as this (which BTW helps them pin point their gaffs) and minimise their losses ...

Some Stores have scanners which you can use when going round the store, this is normally the best way of finding the bargains
  • Sorry to say I've had absolutely no luck at all with finding bargains off MSE! I make a point of nipping down to the shop with said bargains the very morning I receive the MSE email, but still nothing! I tried for the Tesco 1p items today: zilch, and nothing either from the Friends DVD at £20 last Christmas...is it me???
  • Hi there, I've followed this thread avidly and and am very jealous of all your bargains! I've tried in vain loads of times to find any in Northern Irish stores, is there anybody from Ni here who has managed to get any and if so where?

a while back I was able to get 1p children's socks in Newtownabbey's Tesco (beside Abbey Centre) but that is all I've ever got.
