I scanned a tink one and it came up as unknown,maybe thats why they had a handwritten barcode on them in you're store.

Next time they get returned speak to SA or CS and say this is the third time you have tried to buy them so it's dissapointing they have not sorted out the issue and keep them on the shop floor. Ask them if they coudl let you have them for a fair price, say you have seen them elsewhere for £1, so your happpy to pay that. you never know, they may sell them. I did this on some Cars juggling balls a while ago and they let me because I had tried to buy them so many times.

Of course, it's not 1p though!

The hanging strips all had £3 on them still so if they went to look (which no doubt they will in my store) they will put them through for that and there is no way I would pay £3 for them

Not a 1p item but noticed that 4 bar packs of Wispas went through at 82p in my local Express. HTH

I scaned the BUZZ LIGHTYEAR one on the price checker & it said seek assistance or something so put it in with my shopping and went through the till at 80p and scanned as cookies?? didnt buy any biscuits so have no idea why it said that on my reciept!
