Quick question? if anyone isn't collecting the coupons for pots and pans may I have them please as I'm desperately in need of some new pots.

You get one coupon for every £20 you spend in T's but I struggle to spend a tenner at a time.

    TIA

  • If it was my car I'd chuck it in anyway. My old Rover 216GTi had every grade of oil going chucked in it, including tractor oil and it never battered an eye lid.

If you're driving a high mileage engine you can use a much cheaper oil if you change it more often. This means you can use a thinner than recommended oil now if you intend to change it before the summer returns.
BTW, the expression is 'batted', the past tense of 'to bat'. Battered eye lids sound rather painful!

I wouldn't put a thinner oil an old engine if it was burning oil as it would burn much quicker. I always put a thicker oil in and never ever gave it an oil change as there was no need seeing as it was constantly being topped up. :)

My old boss (I used to work on a farm) always used to say "If an engines burning oil then you know everywhere is getting lubricated".

And thanks, I was rather sleepy when I typed that. :)
