  • A very big thank you to the OP of the MS Wireless mouse. I've been on the look out ever since at all my local stores and had pretty much given up hope by now....

Today, whilst making a flying visit and looking for Paxo and cheap sock sets my patience was finally rewarded with not one but 2 1p mice!!

As an added bonus I have located a price scanner in that store (not my usual) which I had never been able to find before... and a large clearance section - now planning a more leisurely trip to hopefully find some more bargains, which I will of course share

Just thought i would post RE: SA

If anyone is interested about what goes on in a SA mind - i suggest reading

The Checkout Girl by Tazeen Ahmad

Very good book with the insight into Mr S and the life of the checkout girl - you may get an interesting insight!

I did and have found myself thinking differently when going through the checkouts!

Also now reading Checkout: A life on the tills by Anna Sam - not quite as good IMO

    HTH

Also i know not a 1p item - but Mr T original freshmint toothpaste 100ml is going through at 39p whereas the 50ml is going through at 51p! Strange!

I read The Checkout Girl and loved it - esp as my mum is a 'COG' and I can totally relate the book to some of the stories she's told me (and honestly, you wouldn't beleive the number of men who ask her out on dates, forget dating sites, get a job on checkouts! :rotfl:)

Haven't had a chance to read all the news today but am currentley surrounded by coupons and about to put together my first proper 'couponing list' (have stepped up from a scribbled post-it) in preparation for a trip to a new (to me) Extra on Thurs. Will only have limited time there so it could all go horribly wrong! :rotfl:

ps sorry, still no 1p finds from me but did have some 20p pasta sauce tonight for dinner :D

Glasses are simple. Clear glass with coloured or black rings around them. If they have red stickers with 4 for £3 then buy 4 glasses. You will be charged 4 x £1.25 for the coloured ones or 4 x £1.27 for the black ones. DTD means that you will end up paying just 25p per coloured glass or 23p per black one.

ONLY BUY IN 4s or the other offer of 6 for £6 will kick in.

    multicoloured stripey glasses

they are £1.25 each or 6 for £6 on sel
you need to look out for the ones with 4 for £3 stickers on if want DTD

that means you are overcharged £2 and get DTD £4

best only to get them in £4's any over that and £6 for 6 kicks in and not as agood a DTD

    HTH

caz your too fast for me!! lol!

Are these wine glasses or tumblers please?

Has the BBQ price not been fixed then?
The store I got mine from on the day of the glitch has loads in stock now, the day they were mispriced they only had 1, worth a scan methinks :rotfl: pretty sure it will be £25 though as per current SEL.

Hi shopndrop they are hi ball glasses (tall tumblers) hth :)

I saw three sets of tumblers today: "wave", "bubble" and a 4 pack of plain. The first two were 65p each; the pack was £3.50 for 4. So I guess it was none of these? :(

Sorry, to be clear, I am referring to the "hi-ball" glasses that someone said were 37p each - not the stripey glasses, which I already have ;)
