1p finds at Tesco thread

Just found some of the stig socks in my store - wasn't sure if they were the right ones so went to a normal till with the rest of my shopping - when scanned they came up as not on file so the assistant did something and then said they were £2 - gonna go back at lunch and try self scan

Also managed to get the coffee yesterday - my other half was so happy :j

There was no price on the shelf of ours just a barcode underneath it and it wouldn't scan on the price checker but thought we would try it anyway as we needed some coffee and like to get fairtrade and it worked!

Yay my first 1p item!! :T

Thanks OP. got some stig socks yesterday and some coffee today. The SEL on the shelf for the coffee was £3.49 and it scanned for 1p no problem.:A

Picked up a black and grey Technika camera bag with strap for 1p, sorry I dont have any more details but gave it to my dad. It was attached to a card and hanging with the other camera bags, was priced as 1p on a yellow label at the front of the hook they were hanging on - yes there were more than one there but I only took one.

Took it through a normal till with the rest of my shopping, young guy serving me smiled and said they were not meant to sell anything which scanned as 1p but he really didnt care and if it scanned at 1p the customer got it for 1p - wish there were more like him!!!

I love staff like that!
Although when CS rang me yesterday, she did say if they have a price label as 1 pence then they have been reduced and they can sell them, it's the secret ones we're not allowed to buy as they could be dangerous. You know what socks and bra's are like for suddenly sprouting fangs and attacking people!:rotfl:

Ahhh, good point, maybe the underwire in certain bra's are rebelling and are enlisting the socks and other random items as allies...
