    Ok here goes,

I have had news that the big boxes of black magic chocolate may be scanning for 1p. Havent been able to check it myself but someone has reported that in some stores they may have been taken of the shelves because they are scanning for 1p. Maybe if someone happens to be in tesco soon (lol) n could check them on the scanner we could have a definate yeah or neigh!

apologies for the vagueness but its something that we could check out n who knows maybe another penny item, otherwise at least we tried!

Hi, Just a word of caution:

NEVER leave unwanted items by a scanner. They will use any reason to remove the machine from the store. If it is causing extra work for the staff, they will not maintain it when it breaks down (which it will!).

If you must dump em, at least do it in another aisle!

No offense. It is in everyone's best interests though.

Good idea, never thought of that, mind you if I have my mum with me she goes mad if I just leave it all there!!! and insists on putting everything back:rotfl:

    Hi celebrate

I went to my local extra (Goodmayes) at lunchtime and they were selling the jug-its in there, mix of the two barcodes, I got some for 1p. I've just come back from another local extra (Hornchurch) and they also had the jug-its in there, again a mix of barcodes. I only went there this evening because I'm trying to get the T-bags (still none with right barcode :().

With regards to the mints and orange segments, I asked a young SA on the electrical desk to check price for me and they both scanned at £1.

    HTH :)

    thanks guys
can't believe i've been to 2 big T's today and totally forgot to look for them

also another quickie, sounds like you guys aren't buying the milk as well??? do you have to buy it, will you be pulled up for buying the jug without the milk?

(i remember the embarrassment in morrisons when i tried to buy the 1p cereal bowls without the cereal -never again:()

I bought the milk because it's on special for 50p, but their have been reports that the jug doesnt work to well when you put liquid in without the bag! and have you just seen the post about the large boxes of chocolates?

  • Please dont get rid of the penny items list!!! please!!!

I can see all your points, but i think, as a newbie... i would feel slightly excluded if say, i missed a days threading, therefore missed out on a bargain... plus it would mean everyone kept re-asking the same questions about the items... more than they do now... i rely on the penny items list, as i have a terrible memory, and no printer, so cannot print off the items.

if, and when i find any bargains, i would happily share them with everyone on here... tbh, it would be my first port of call and always look out for bargains to report to you lovely lot... but i feel that if the list gets removed, it would turn this into more of a 'every man for themselves' on here, and even though there are no other West Mids MSEers coming forward on here just yet, i know there are many out there, i would prefer to work with them rather than against them... surely others feel the same too.

i love the friendly welcoming atmosphere on here, and i feel that this would make it... erm.... unwelcoming...

im not trying to put anyones backs up here, just airing my views in the hope that someone agrees and wants to keep the list too. :)

    xx
