I can confirm that all the Tea bags in Barrow have the wrong barcode
gutted coz this is the first thing on the list that I have actually needed, been waiting for either a coupon or a glitch. Just emptied the last box from DTD.

I am one of the people that have contacted head office not because i'm upset that i was refused a penny item but its discrimination when they refuse one customer but then sell to another customer 24 hours later - this is my grudge with them.A home is not a home ..... without a dog0

Dawnie, I completely understand where you're coming from, but if you've complained then obviously you have to tell them what store you are complaining about. That store will obviously get a rollocking of sorts, be it that they should have pulled the items quicker, that they discriminated against you or that they shouldnt have sold them to someone else. That will make that store far more aware of the 1p issue and you are probably far less likely to get a bargain in the future from there.I'm not having a go at anyone for complaining, it's down to you, I just personally wouldnt.Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
no fighting children please. its only 1p for gawds sakelife is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0

i see your point it is unfair but i think as others do just makes them take action quicker but who knows they could just sorted it out anyway like they did with chilli with toms.
it more they way staff treat you that is issue i think, I wasnt impressed with staff when my dove coupons get rejected but cant really complain as meant be one pre person.

Somebody posted it a few pages back.
I just take an email from CS stating that if I have 'ANY further issues with x store, please don't hesitate to contact them'. I've not had reason to wave it at an SA yet, though.10 Ways to Spend All Your Student Loan In A Week0 -
At the risk of being unpopular, I agree about not complaining about not being sold a 1p item. It's a gamble that you take. I have never been stopped with one yet but we are all aware that it's best to use the Self scanners to pay and that the SA could stop you. If people do complain then they are more likely to pull the 1p items much quicker. If I get stopped I'll be ready to have a strong discussion with the SA about it but wouldnt contact head office, just my opinion as I wouldnt want to spoil it for others. It is unfair that some people get stopped and some don't but that's the gamble we take with 1p items and glitches unfortunately.
Spot on, my thinking exactly. Same applied to DTD.
A store can refuse sale of ANYTHING for ANY reason. Just because it's 1p, doesn't mean they have to give the 'it's 1p, so discontinued' reason, they can simply just refuse the sale. It's pointless complaining, even if you get a moneycard (unlikely) as it's the law.10 Ways to Spend All Your Student Loan In A Week0 -

Discrimination is when they say you can't have an item because your Black, Gay, Disabled, Old.............the list goes on. Not because you've met a trout.Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0
