I wrote down all the 1p bargains and set off to Tesco in Elgin tonight. Felt like some sort of undercover agent, kept hiding my list any time I saw someone I thought worked there! Only ended up with 2 of the ground coffee and I don't even have a coffee machine!! Will give it to my Dad tho as I bought him a cafetiere last year and he loves it. Thanks to the op, this is a brill thread.:j

My Mum lives hwest but is on holiday and therefore i have no excuse to go that way! May have to welcome he home saturday though!!!

I bought 2 pairs of 'stig' socks this evening and whilst walking past the self scan area noticed the self scan computer screen in front of the 'helper'. The screen is divided into sections for each self scan customer and they can see what you are scanning as you do it without looking over your shoulder hence the rush to stop you when they see a 1p flag up (in some cases). Probably best to try and get these bits when helper is busy away from screen

Yet another bargain from our good friends at Mr.T's. If I remember correctly priced at £1.39 scans at 1p I found these in the autumn isle (seasonal goods) I bought 8 at the self service till in the Carmarthen branch.
