Just managed 2 pairs of stig socks at Coventry crosspoint, did try for 5 at self scan but the till Nazi took 3 out of my bag when she saw they were scanning at 1p which I found to be very intrusive and inappropriate! Glad I managed the 2 I did get but will still be complaining about the staff members behaviour, especially having read earlier on in this thread that it's the staff that have these confiscated bargains. I know tesco are awful to work for, I've been there but there's no need to treat the people that are paying your wages so badly!
Wishing everyone good luck with their finds today! :)

I went out to search for these penny goodies but looked like they had none but I spotted a pair of shoes and bag that i liked and was just checking the price of the shoes out coz the pricey bit was off the tag and thought id scan my bag in at the same time and guess what?? yup it was 1p!!! I went to the till my heart thudding like no tomorrow but the young girl just said the bags a penny and let me pay - phew! So I went back and scanned another handbag oh the first one was a torquousey/teak coloured one original price £15, this second one which i scanned was a black sequin one and this also showed up as 1p on the scanner so off i went to the same till but the girl couldnt take the security tag off it and called this older woman who wouldnt sell it to me and went and took them off the shelves - so rudely as well, as though i magically made this 1p and it was my fault!! I was well cross:mad: if it comes as a penny they should sell it or they should do a better stock check so I phoned up the customer service number 0800 50 55 55 (i think thats right) chose optiopn 3 and complained about it and the lad on the other end agreed they should of sold me it. TESCO oldies its like they have something against customers being happy and gettting a good deal! sorry for going on but i feel better now:)

Can anyone tell me please which Mr Ts Cappuccino is the 1p one? I see that they have sweetened and unsweetened so a bar code would be good.
I managed some of the Kilamanjaro coffee in my local store.
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.
  • Sorry dont know the barcode for the black one but if any of you see it, its a all black sequinned shopper with gold and black metal straps original price £10. Again the turquoise bag's barcode is 5052003091801. Good Luck!! But sadly at my store the mean one went and took all of them off the hangers - probably to go and distribute it amongst themselves, some say charity but who knows huh? Night nite all.
  • I've made myself a bit of a pledge, just in case there's any truth that they'd end up in the hands of a charity. For every penny bargain, I'll be donating 10p to charity. It means I still get a mega bargain, but a little something goes into charity coffers too.

were the bags reduced or just normal price and then scanning at 1p?
    Many thanks..
  • I managed to get 5 bags of Cafe Direct Cloud Forrest Coffee Bean 227G throught the .com site for a penny each. I was that excited about finding a 1p item I didn't read the "BEAN" bit in the description, so Im now stuck with 5 bags without a coffee grinder!
