Evening
I went into Tesco extra at barnstaple today and picked up 33 - yes 33 tins of Stagg bbq chilli, whilst i was there another lady was looking at the chilli so i did my good deed for the day and told her about it, she didn't believe me at first so i had to take her over to the scanner on the wall and show her, im sure she thought i was a bit mad when i told her to buy them at a penny instead of the others at £1.67. She went away quite happy with 6 tins there was still another 3 cases (18 tins) on the top shelf when i left so more for someone else tomorrow.
Then to get them through the check out i had them in a basket and nearly pulled me arms out of my sockets - had to make sure i could carry them as they dont like you going through the ss tills with a trolley when its busy - not even a little one!! went through no problem, i dont know why but i felt really guilty doing and kept standing in front of my machine so that the staff couldn't read my screen.
So a fantastic bit of penny shopping and my OH quite happy as he said the last time i managed to find a couple of tins that it was really nice - especially if you add more chilli to it .
So any one in the barnstaple area i left some there for you xxVery proud to be Strip club member No 430 -
Tesco finest tissues still scanning at 25p - though the SEL says £2.07!
I found in my local store "Tesco Finest Soft white tissues with Aloe Vera" along with the normal ones but the Aloe vera ones were scanning in at 27p. (These are in a light green box with a white lilly on it) :j
I also checked the easter eggs on the self scanner to see if they came up as a penny but still scanning in a half price.0 -

I went into the Eastern Avenue store on Thursday and they had plenty of the jars of Bowes Hill Caperberries. However, the SEL said £1.12 and I couldn't find a working scanner, so I'm not sure what price they would go through at.

Sadly no 1p items to report for Yeovil...they do have lovely pink zip up handbag 'shopping bags' reduced from £3 to 10p though so I picked up a few for xmas...also lots of great 'art deco rose design' mugs for just 24p each (They used to be 2 for £3.50 ~ which I will fill with sweeties and cello wrap for xmas pressies too). All our easter eggs are still around £1 - £1.50 each... I will keep looking.Make £/day March: £1490.85 / £310
