I had to come and thank everyone for their postings, photos, bar codes etc.
I went with a list tonight ( reminds me of my R&R days) and there was nothing, I mean nothing.
No nuts, no fruit and nuts, no Tomatoes, no cheese sauce, no sil........ but finally found .....
    Princes Lean Deli Ham.
Thankfully I had also made a note of the bar code someone had posted.... as all the price scanners have been removed in my store, so i felt quietly confident as I took a tin to the ss.
    1p!!:j:T
I went back later to get a couple more.
Sell by date is Dec 2010..... but I thought if it wasn't any good, at 1p I could offer it to the cat, or leave it out for the local foxes.
But very pleased to report I opened a tin tonight and it tastes delicious.
DD ( who is rather fussy) tentatively tried a bit ( she is not used to tinned meat!).
She didn;t comment, but I noticed later that half the tin had disappeared.
Must pop back tomorrow to see if I can find any more tins at the back of the shelf.
No sel by the way. I only found it because I had taken my list and noted down the exact wording and the barcode.

    thanks again everyone

Not a 1p find but here goes:
Tesco naturally lemon washing up liquid 40p
500 ml clear bottle. Original price was £ 1.02. Scans at 40p though!

    Found on another thread!

I went to Wokingham this morning to spend a couple of my leftover DTD vouchers. Looked for the ham, tomatoes, cheese sauce & nuts, but no luck unfortunately.

Thank you, OP, for the link to the penny items web page. That is SO helpful.

I tried getting some items on the list the other day and found about 5 of them but when I self-scanned them they all came back as full price. Are these items all certain barcodes only?

Yes they are. Look at the spreadsheet, which has the bar codes.

Picked up another 14 of the tomato and chillies today

I am visiting the North East at the moment, and ventured out to Kingst0n Park Extra - after not finding any 1p items at the North Shields store nearest to me here, I had a good wander round this one and was excited to find two almost full trays of the tomoatoes with Chilli, right bar code too. I searched the store for a price scanner but the one I found was out-of-order. As I had other items and was paying with a DTD voucher, I went to the SS till to put them through with a couple of other items and then go to normal till for rest of my shopping BUT they went through at 14p. I asked supervisor to cancel my transaction as I remambered that I could not pay at SS with a DTD voucher and went through the normal till - I still got the 12 cartons though as I think 14p is still a good price

As I am visiting by train and have quite a bit to take back home with me this coming week including 4 bottles of spirits from DTD ;), my brother, sister and neice will be receiving 4 each
