Hi, They look like a tiny kidney bean, bit harder though. Says on tin use in salad and soups.
OH is a great curry cook and has found a recipe for a curry which he is half way through cooking, cooked the beans with garlic and something last night. If recipe succesful will let everyone know.
If anyone wants them and is near Fleetsbridge, Poole they have stocked up with these again today but no Dormen nuts.0 -
Got the Adzuki beans tonight in Portsmouth (North Harbour). Still plenty left on the shelf.0

Lots of the nuts left in Thanet, Westwood Cross today.DTD...Dreading The Detox.0

I made some bean burgers with them yesterday, they were really good.
I can't remember exact measurements of things but I fried up some onion, garlic, coriander and other veg I could find (peppers and mushrooms I think) then mixed this with a tin of beans that I mashed with a fork. I mixed an egg in to bind and then covered with flour and breadcrumbs. I left them in the fridge for a bit before cooking, as I felt they would stick together more easily (don't know if you need to do this or not but I felt it would help.) Then fried them in a bit of olive oil.
I served with salad and some caesar dressing.
They were surprisingly really tasty!:)0 -
