The newer ones don't seem to have trackballs anymore. I wish my 9000 didn't.

We got a blackberry 8520 last weekend with virginmedia. We've gone for a cheap contract at £10 a month for 50 minutes, 200 texts, 500mb of internet access and unlimited blackberry messenger. The phone is fabulous and I wish I'd had one ages ago. You can get higher tariffs than that (and we got it for £10 instead of £12 because we have virgin for tv, landline and broadband) but through quidco you can get £30 cashback with a contract. OK, the contract is for 24 months but you can change your tariff every month if you wish to do so! For the same phone anywhere else you're looking at at least £18 for the same phone and service. BB messenger itself is £5 a month on any network, so we've got the phone, texts and internet for a fiver a month :-)Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)0

I'd recommed buying from the Carphonewarehouse.com They do pay & go, monthly and refurbished handset deals.
1. BlackBerry Curve 8520 cheapest blackberry at the Carphonewarehouse will keep your son entertained. Got Wifi, email facility and instant Facebook access.
-Pay Monthly £15 on the 02 network
-Pay & Go £169.95 plus £10.00 top up
-Handset only £249.95
2. BlackBerry - 9700, Curve 3G, 8900, Pearl 3G all start from £20 + monthly.
3.Carphonewarehouse alternatives are Phones 4U, Dialaphone, Mobileshop etc.0
