Thanks for your help with sorting my pc out.

I need a little help still

On booting up the PC there appears to be something running in the background for about half an hour after switching on.

At first i thought it was Avast updating definitions but even after i receive notification that Avast has updated something appears to be draining the PCs resourses

Unable to close pages the screen eventually closing by sliding down the page, pages/browser unable to open etc etc
Once what ever it is has finished the PC is fine and moves along at a good speed.

Is there any other tests/checks i can do to see what is utilising my PC on start up.

Thanks

Bring up TASK MANGER and find which .exe file is using up the resources and post that

Run a fresh hijack on a fresh bootup too

Nokia and itunes can be uninstalled via the control panel.

looks like the only major thing which should be TICK and FIXED... ALthough do wait for alienRIK's reply.
  • Hi Grandmaster

Itunes and Nokia have been uninstalled via the control panel previously don't know why they still show.

may help for ipodservice.exe. If it doesn't, I'm sure someone will have a programme to remove traces of it...
