Yes, these areas in the form are not compulsory.

I did mine shortly before the deadline yesterday and left them blank. At the end of the process I was told it wasn't authorised immediately but to note the reference number and keep checking back as it would be decided upon in the next 72 hours. I checked back last night and it was authorised. I don't know for sure but I suspect the delay may have been because I never entered anything in the fields you mention.

Simple solution: POSTCODE IS NOT ONE OF THE REQUIRED FIELDS. Sent application without the postcode and authorization was approved within seconds. So I guess the answer is if not a required field don't complete.
