so these keep calling with those anoying automated things to me mobile - a number i have had for about a month since i got back into the country and they call themselves fresh start finance

after googling it appears they have had a few names

http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/01625876910

now they tell me they were passed on my details from TAB finance who i cant find a website for but a this from the ASA http://www.asa.org.uk/Complaints-and-ASA-action/Adjudications/2010/3/TAB-Finance-Ltd/TF_ADJ_48287.aspx

Now they have my phone number i have no idea but christ, its annoying.. though the top company have said they will take me off the syatem-after asking loads of probing questions - but how do i get hold of TAB to get them to delete my details?

Yeh i know that but you would have thought that there would have been their own web page for a finance company.

Some companies opt for the "lets get listed in every directory possible" method as this will probably save them hosting fees and gets their details on to an already established website
  • just tried the phone number and doesnt accept incoming calls..

Answer the calls and ask the person (male or female) what they are wearing, what they are doing tonight, and what their favourite sexual positions are. Normally gets them off the phone pronto and if not you've pulled! :D

Ask your service provider to block the number. Is it your mobile or landline? The reason I ask is because sometimes (I had this with vodafone) the dozy helpdesk agent advises that they can't block individual numbers. This is rubbish. If you get told they can't ask to speak to a supervisor.

Worth a go. Apparently mobile numbers are recycled. Yours might have been knocking around for years, previously owned by someone else.
