Butti - Sorry to hear about the roof. Not what you need at all.

Katsu - Glad to hear your mum is doing well - say Hello from us.

We seem to have been lucky with the weather here today, and I managed to get a load of washing dry!

I watched Bouquet of Barbed Wire too Beanie - I loved it first time round especially Gavin and was sad to hear that the actor who played him died earlier this year from cancer.

Pooky love...are you feeling any better..

I watched bouquet last night, I vaguely remember the first one in the seventies.....but not much except that I think it must have been a bit too racy for my mum to let me watch it..

Thanks Pooky and Tenmah, she will be very touched.

She is very up and down with the experience - I guess hospitals are like schools in that respect. The main thing is that it is helping and if we can make sustainable changes she will have a better quality of life in the end. My Dad who is now dealing with the council and living without her might realise (if he didn't already) just how much she does for him too ;):D

Sammy - Thanks for asking x Still not feeling great but not completely wiped out like I was over the weekend.

Tenmah - It's easy to have nice days with DH when we live less than a mile from the cliffs/beach. We know lots of routes that are "whizzy wheel" compatable so I pack books and a flask of coffee and we go sit in the sun and fresh air and people watch....sometimes he can't sit for long but just being out of the house is a huge mood boost for him.

That sounds lovely Pooky, me and my mum used to do that all the time - definitely makes you feel good.

    Hi Whatatwit,

I recently set up my own website and found a deal on the grabbit board where https://www.one.com allow you to buy a domain name and get 12 months of hosting for £9, (*I have no affiliation to them apart from using that offer*) and have been really happy with their service.....

I'm no web expert - one of the main purposes of my site was to teach myself basic HTML/CSS - but feel free to get in touch if you want/need further help.

    Cheers,
Hi, thanks for the link, I've taken the plunge and registered with them

so all I have to do is ask him his thoughts on recycling, ect, and he goes off onto such a rant that he forgets the rent's due. :D

When you get tired of that try the NHS, education and public sector pensions. My dad is a particularly annoying !!!! on the latter!
