Can this car insurance quote be justified?

  • Why on earth should I do that? I don't work for Direct Line.

Well you do seem very keen for me to spend my money with them
  • ...when you typed that you lost the arguement IMHO!

I'm not arguing with anyone I'm looking for the cheapest insurance I can get for an old banger and he wants me to spend my money with a company that more than doubled my premium from last year.

The only reason I can think of someone doing that is if they work for the company.

Give me other reasons why someone would want me do do that?

It's only somebody else's opinion on an internet forum, you don't actually have to follow it you know!

Anyway, after your fairly condescending reply to the helpful poster who advised you to go to saynotto0870 in an attempt to save you money I reckon you should just take the £66 offer and get on with it.

By the way, in relation to the advice above - I don't work for Saga before you ask.

I thought that that poster was condescending to me.

No mention of anything to do with insurance, but posting in a thread about insurance, something that had nothing to do with insurance. If that poster had read my post properly they would have seen that I had mentioned, though not how I found it, though it was by looking up saynoto, an alternative phone number and a method of phoning without incurring any charges.

So therefor that post was unnecessary.

And the other poster's post about it is only £2 per week. I thought that was condescending as well.

and I also think your post

    condescending as well
But that is only my opinion.

I thought this was a moneysaving site but when someone recommends spending more than twice as much as necessary you have to wonder as to their motives don't you?

Probably is. It appears higher risk areas have seen larger rises. Lower risk areas have seen little or no rises with some coming in less than last year.
