After reading some reviews on insurance sites, I see they have employed the same tactics with lots of other people....Makes you think....
The only thing it makes me think is they dont want your business and priced themselves accordingly. Much the same as many other area of financial services or other retail and service sectors.
I cant see the problem with it. They dont want you. They give a price that reflects that and you have the choice to accept that or not.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). You should stick with Direct Line. My Dad always said Saga are called Saga because they turn everything into a Saga.Robert2009 wrote: »Any more I could try, I've exhausted all the comparison sites?
Cheapest rarely means best, in any walk of life. Insurance isn't any different.0 -

Paying over twice as much, £157 as opposed to £66, doesn't mean any better either, and certainly not more than twice as good.0 -

I am aware of saynoto0845, isn't everyone on this forum?
you did notice that I had said that I had found an 01 number did you not?
I still have to pay for calls on virgin media during the week, free at weekends. Did you not notice what I said about that either?
So no need for an 0800 number, don't worry, I never pay for phone calls unless I have to. I do all my calling at the weekend. You should stick with Direct Line
You have got to be kidding, after more than doubling my quote. How much money do you waste by playing safe?
I couldn't care less who insures my car and what their customer service is like. If I have an accident that's my fault and it costs to get it fixed I will just scrap the car and if someone else is involved let them deal with Saga.
The car is an old banger and will probably fail it's MOT next year anyway, it is rusting away. I've had my moneys worth out of it.
All I want is to have it legally insured. I would insure it TPFT if that was cheaper than fully comp but it isn't.0 -
I hope you spend your saving of £2 a week wisely.0

Saga can insure for a fair price, and still make a profit. So you are advocating we all donate £2 a week to the insurance "bonus fund for employees" again?
Maybe you have the odd few hundred to spare for them, if you want to overpay all your insurances where you can go for it, the rest of us don't.0 -

Of course I will, that is 2 lottery scratchcards a week.
I'd rather spend it on them than give Direct Line more than double my premium from last year.
Did you ever read the thread but it's only £2 a month? It all mounts up.
From the way you want me to waste my money on Direct Line you should acknowledge that you work for them.0 -
Why on earth should I do that? I don't work for Direct Line.Robert2009 wrote: »From the way you want me to waste my money on Direct Line you should acknowledge that you work for them.0 -
