Post Office Credit Card

Just to let you know, the PO credit card is changing its t and c next week.

They will be charging a 2.5% BT fee, but the 0% on balance transfers will go for 8 months. Only 3 months on purchases though.

APR will stay at 14.9%, still quite good.

These changes are of 2.10.06.

HTH someone!

I am still waiting for my credit report. Does that mean that if I have applied before 2/10/06 I would still able to avoid any BT fees?

    cheers

In July, I applied for the Post Office card.

The secure part of the website doesn't work at all with my browser, so I made a telephone application. I was told my credit limit over the phone and my credit agreement arrived by post, two days later. With just 6 days to go now before the new terms & conditions are introduced, I would recommend this route.

I applied for the PO credit card yesterday online and like some of the previous posts that I've read here, I also had problem at the end of my application. I was already on the last stage when basically it tells me that I will hear something after 5 days then my screen went blank. So I rang PO finance section and told them the problem as I don't want to make a double application and the lady that I spoke to confirms that they have received my application.

My question to those who have applied one, When you reach to this stage ang got the message that you will hear from us in the next 5 days where you likely been approved or still it wasn't a guarantee?

I am hoping if ever approved ( fingers crossed ) that I can avoid any BT fees before they will start charging on the 2/10/06 as I understand.

Anyway, I 'll just wait and see.
  • This is interesting as I have just applied for this today and have been accepted. I had to do mine online though to qualify for the Quidco cashback! I'm hoping that because I provided details of any balance transfers I want to make as part of the application, they will have transfer it fee free as those were the terms on which I applied?

    We'll soon see anyway!

    Good for you mascaraMinx.
  • If you apply on the current, in branch, paper application form the fee-free transfer will be honoured for a couple of weeks after 2nd Oct.

The new card has another string to it's bow. The new deal will have fee-free usage aboard for purchases. Still the fee for ATM usage. It will be very much like the Nationwide CC in this respect.
Existing cardholders will get this new feature after(provisionally) the 4th of December.
  • It says "simply click on the button below" but there's no button. Am I being blind, or can you no longer apply on-line?
